Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology

·       OEM or Profession Certification in Unix and Hardware preferred.

Experience
  • 2 to 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Investment/Merchant Banking, Telecommunication, Software Company, IT Enabled Service
Additional Requirements
  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of UNIX operating systems
  • Exhibiting in-depth knowledge of hardware systems’ different components
  • Showcasing excellent troubleshooting skills for both Operating System and Hardware components
  • Understanding UNIX administration, server configuration, Port channel, networking, Routing, Storage, Security
  • Utilizing server configuration and automation tools such as Ansible, Perl, Puppet, Chef, Cobbler, Kickstart, Cloudformation, etc
  • Applying knowledge of networking principles including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP
  • Adapting to changing priorities and quickly learning new skills and techniques
  • Demonstrating quick learning abilities and the capability to work under deep pressure

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context

The role involves managing server infrastructure to maintain service availability and system functionality for bKash operations, ensuring continuous support for core services and business objectives. This includes providing functional support and promptly addressing any disruptions to ensure seamless service delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installing new system hardware, configuring, and maintaining all UNIX systems.
  • Installing O/S patches, updating packages, and third-party applications, etc.
  • Coordinating and performing upgrades to layered software packages.
  • Deploying infrastructure, coordinating project support.
  • Operating, maintaining, troubleshooting Unix systems and software errors.
  • Responding to user issues, and providing operational and stakeholder support.
  • Available for on-call support for 24/7, including non-traditional hours based on the situation.
  • Monitoring system performance, alerts, and rectifying system network issues.
  • Utilizing resources and performing systems capacity analysis.
  • Planning and monitoring the optimization of system operation.
  • Managing clustering, leveraging clustering software, as well as other clustering packages, etc.
  • Applying UNIX scripting (Bourne, Korn, PERL, BASH, Powershell, and other standard tools) to optimize and automate regular work.
  • Providing audit, security hardening, and compliance technical support for all Unix systems.
  • Creating and update documentation, inventory and system build docs.
  • Managing incident, problem, and change management, etc.
  • Communicating with vendors and managing vendor relationships.
